Software Engineer - Monthly Cloud Patch & Update Developer

Description:

Seeking an experienced Software Engineer familiar with integrating software solutions within an AWS cloud environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in a development team that uses agile methodologies combined with mature software practices and a technology-supported development infrastructure.
  • Perform analysis to identify software issues, then subsequently perform design, development, unit testing, and integration and testing prior to deployment.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technologies, or related discipline with 4 years of software experience; or 2 years relevant software experience with a Graduate Degree. In lieu of degree, 6 years of software experience.
  • Prior or current experience in Python, Java, or C++ programming languages.
  • Experience developing and integrating with cloud platforms, e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure.
  • Experience implementing systems with cloud-native tools, e.g., IAC, Docker, K8s, Grafana.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, or Continuous Delivery development methods desirable.

Pay Range:

$85,000 - $90,000/year (depending on experience)

Cloud Information Security Systems Engineer

Description:

Provide technical ISSE support including design, deployment, and RMF.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to Product or Network Information Security Engineering activities related to CDRLs, trade studies, security requirements analysis, secure architecture development, and compliance with security controls.
  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements derivation and allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer Information Security requirements into hardware and software specifications.
  • Provide Information Assurance (IA) technical leadership for development teams of new multi-discipline (mechanical, electrical, software, RF, etc.) products.
  • Develop security overlays, data flow diagrams, internal requirements, CONOPs, and interface control documents from customer/product requirements.
  • Identify security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities of networks, systems, applications, and new technology initiatives.
  • Experience in writing and managing RMF body of evidence documents (e.g., SSP, SCTM, RAR, ConMon Plan, SAPP).
  • Work with malware detection systems for Windows and Linux, and cloud security (AWS) technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of prior relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with 4 years of prior related experience, or 8 years of similar experience.
  • Ability to obtain a NOAA Public Trust clearance.
  • Familiarity with Model-Based System Engineering (UML, SysML, DoDAF).
  • Experience in Python scripting and Linux administration.
  • DoD 8570.01-M IASAE Level 3 certification (e.g., CISSP - ISSEP or ISSAP).
  • Experience with cyber defense and vulnerability assessment tools such as ACAS and SCC.
  • Experience with SIEM tools, including Splunk, and vulnerability analysis tools like Tenable NESSUS.
  • Knowledge of Layer 3 architecture and diagramming (e.g., Visio).
  • Supporting account management, PKI cert management, LDAP configuration/management.
  • Familiarity with security-related tools – SIEM, malware, HIPS.
  • Scripting experience (Bash/Shell, Python, Perl, PowerShell).
  • Position requires an existing Public Trust security clearance or greater.
  • Active TS/SCI is highly desired.

Pay Range:

$90,000 - $95,000/year (depending on experience)

Software Engineer – Application Cloud Migration Developer

Description:

Seeking an experienced Software Engineer familiar with integrating software solutions within an AWS cloud environment.

  • Develop new software, adapt old software, and extend an existing software baseline to implement new capabilities and migrate to cloud environment.
  • Perform analysis to identify software issues, then subsequently perform design, development, unit test, and integration and test prior to deployment.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technologies, or related discipline with 4 years of software experience; or 2 years relevant software experience with a Graduate Degree. In lieu of degree, 6 years of software experience.
  • Experience developing applications using C++, Java, or Python programming languages, PostgreSQL or other SQL database.
  • Comfortable using Linux and Linux tools (sed, grep, awk, top, etc.) and scripting (Perl, c-shell, bash, or Python).
  • Experience developing and integrating with cloud platforms and tools, e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure, IAC, Kubernetes desirable.

Systems Engineer - Cloud

Description:

Seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team, focusing on sustainment engineering and obsolescence remediation analysis for satellite ground systems within an existing program.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead systems engineering projects to sustain and modernize satellite ground systems.
  • Analyze system components for obsolescence issues and develop mitigation strategies (including simplifying On-premises systems).
  • Support development and operationalization for cloud migration activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement engineering changes.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses for system upgrades and replacements.
  • Coordinate, develop, and deliver design, acceptance, and delivery review packages.
  • Interface with suppliers and vendors to manage component lifecycle and availability.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation related to system sustainment and obsolescence management.
  • Ensure compliance with NIST, Department of Commerce, and NOAA IT security standards such as FISMA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800.53.
  • Participate in program reviews and provide expert recommendations to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Agile development best practices and tools (SAFe, Jira, Git, etc.) and participation in continuous Agile planning and coordination ceremonies.
  • Experience with commercial cloud systems and services (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Candidate must have or have the ability to obtain a High-Risk NOAA Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5-7 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of related experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience is required.

Pay Range:

$95,000 - $100,000/year (depending on experience)
